Reunion 2002 in Torremolinos (near Malaga in the South of Spain) is now over. You can see the photos on this site.
Finally there were 57 people who turned up. All in all, I must say we had a lovely time. Everybody said it was a great success.
We started with an informal visit in the bar on Sunday 2nd of June in Hotel Pez Espada. We were approx. 30 people at this event. It started at around 17:00 hours and the most enduring of us didn't leave before 22:00 hours.
On Monday a few of us had a pool party, which lasted from 18:00 hours until 01:30.
Tuesday, June 4th we once again met in the bar of Hotel Pez Espada at 19:00 hours. Nametags were handed out and photos were taken. At 18:00 we had an aperitif in "Salon Panorama". We were going to have it outside in the patio but it was blowing too much.
At 21:00 hours we entered into "Salon Tropical" and Kristian Samnøen wished us welcome, and suggested that everybody introduced themselves. A lot of nice speeches were held and many nice words were said. We ate dinner and then moved on back in to the bar where they played disco music from the 70's and we chatted and danced for another couple of hours. I must salute Hotel Pez Espada for an excellent arrangement, everything went smoothly and thanks to them the Reunion was such a success.
Wednesday, June 5th we hired a bus to pick us up at 13:00 hours and we were taken to Bergparken in Calahonda. There we had Pepper Soup, which Elin Samnøen and Christina Bergman made. They did a great job! They had to get up early in the morning to shop and made a really delicious soup. After having eaten, the children had a great time in the swimming pool. Not only the children enjoyed the water slide.
Finally we attended a great concert in Bergparken Concert Hall. Gerri Hendrix sang old songs by Elvis, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Jim Reaves and more. Gerri is a genius in imitation, and I wish him all the best for the future. The concert was given to us by courtesy of Bergparken, and I want to thank the director Jan Dagfinn Nesheim for this nice gesture. It was a fantastic ending to the Reunion.
I want to thank the following people for such good help before and during the Reunion. You have all been an important part of the planning and accomplishment of this Reunion:
Thanks also to everybody who were able to come to the Reunion!
