Main Railroad Building
These photographs were taken by Alan Brown, former General Foreman of the Engine Repairshop in the Central Workshop at Yekepa.
The photographs were requested by Gencor, a South African Company in connection with a possible rehabilitation of the installations of former Lamco, which after they had seen the damages displayed in the photographs, they just cancelled. Mr. Bas Koenen, who have sent me the pictures, was a consultant for South African Railways during that time and as such involved in the rehabilitation project. It all had something to do with the Guinea or Mifergui project but nothing came out of it.
First picture is from inside Bas Koenen's office, with all the office furniture's removed and all of Bas documents spread out on the floor.
The other picture is taken in the corridor of the Railroad Department's offices.From the Outside:
